Bluprint UK, with others, have undergone 18 moths of research and development to produce a new system for KBA delivery drums.
1. Problem
The drums, much like everything, wear steadily over time. The surface loses its properties and ability to delivery sheets. If you've ever had to replace them, you will also know that they are notoriously expensive. Some efforts to escape this issue include anti-marking film sheets, cut to cover the drum but this creates another problem that reduces the original airflow properties of the drum by covering the holes.
2. Solution
We have developed an exchange system whereby we receive and refurbish the original drum. Then fit a bespoke Super Blue 2 adhesive base cover. This base cover protects the surface of the drum, but also allows for the easy installation and replacement of Super Blue 2 anti-marking nets.
3. Result
The printer saves $$$ year on year. Drum wear is minimised. Original airflow properties maintained. Only consumable replacement is the cost effective Super Blue 2 nets.
